My apologies to all the Idol readers for this interruption, but you can skip down and catch this week's recap just below this post. Instead of Idol, this one is about my stuff.
In happy news, The Short Review has posted a review of my short story collection, American Cool. Sarah Hilary wrote the review, and it's intelligent and insightful, and she really gets me, and I like that.
If you're interested, you can purchase my book from Amazon, but I'm giving the link to B&N to purchase it instead. This is because Amazon is a bunch of fuckers who are trying to create a cartel by forcing publishers to use their printer. I know it's so easy to one-click and that they've got everything, but I'm going to try to ween myself off of them because I just can't stand their shenanigans any more. My pal Don has some info about the whole mess here. And here is a large resource that maps out all the details of this strongarm bullshit from Amazon. I assume that unless you're in the publishing biz, you won't really care about all the details. Suffice to say they're douchebags who've grown too big for their britches and we need some crackdown on antitrust laws in this country.

It sure is great to have all of Susan's stories collected together in American Cool. All you kiddies who think her blog is great should take a look at her fiction!
Congratulations on a great and well-deserved review.
Don, that was subtle!
Alice, thanks!
