"The First Time..." was waaaaay too short - I would have loved to have heard the whole song.

If you didn't notice it last night, and have the show on Tivo, look at the scene where Ryan is standing in the crowd. Watch the guy in the red shirt on the left side of the screen. Hilarious!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12530317.post-59892594290184649362008-05-14T10:20:00.000-07:002008-05-14T10:20:00.000-07:00I agree with Don that McPhee is the better singer ...I agree with Don that McPhee is the better singer as well. Both have stagecraft down. And Syesha tends to pick songs that are way too big for her which points to Don's observation that she thinks more of her talent that what she actually has.

Congrats on American Cool. I'm making my way through the entertaining book. Short stories are perfect for me right now, and I can finish an entire story with spare times here and there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12530317.post-14738787506230287802008-05-14T08:42:00.000-07:002008-05-14T08:42:00.000-07:00I'm with you Susan - bored at this point, not nece...I'm with you Susan - bored at this point, not necessarily mad, but bored in the way I was with most of last season. Your Archy Capps merchandising offer is the best! You ARE all that!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12530317.post-2624501274582222262008-05-14T04:16:00.000-07:002008-05-14T04:16:00.000-07:00Love the Archy Capps! Another good recap Susan. Yo...Love the Archy Capps! Another good recap Susan. You hit the nail on the head with the song choice comment. The judges always drill it into the kids' heads that it's all about song choice, then the producers pick the work possible crap for them to sing. Go figure.

I'm hoping for David vs David. Syesha is just, well—annoying. She doesn't realize her voice has limitations, but it does. And I disagree—Kat McPhee is a much better singer than Syesha. But Syesha acts like she is already a great singer and performer (cheesy was the perfect adjective) and people are starting to believe her.Donald Caponehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16903164976265954815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12530317.post-15252655300961687352008-05-13T22:01:00.000-07:002008-05-13T22:01:00.000-07:00"Longer" made Clive's choice of "Open Arms" look l..."Longer" made Clive's choice of "Open Arms" look like a stroke of genius. And more fair. I wonder if Archie had Elliott's WTF expression when they dropped that bomb on him?

Making Archie sing the maudlin "Longer" was the producer's way of telling Daddy they were throwing his son under the bus for his meddlesome ways.

But don't count him out yet. Those Syesha fans need somewhere to go. It's not over till the fat lady takes another swig of Coke.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
